Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The month is designated as a time to remember those lost to domestic violence, celebrate those that have survived, and come together to say No More. This year the Domestic Violence Awareness Project and NO MORE have joined forces in their efforts to increase national awareness of domestic violence and sexual assault and to put a stop to this violence.
NO MORE is a symbol designed bring awarness to the domestic violence and sexual assault happing in each of our communities. It is a campaign calling each of us to action by using the symbol to unify all people who want to end this violence, to start the conversation with friends, families, and community members about domestic violence and sexual assault, and to stop the stigma, shame and silence associated with becoming victim to this violence.
