Volunteer Opportunities
Crisis and Shelter Services Support
Compassionate and responsible volunteers needed to assist by greeting clients and donors, answering telephones-including the 24 hour Helpline, recording call data and scheduling appointments. Training provided and required.
Shelter Maintenance and Organization
Help keep Golden House clean, organized and well maintained. Volunteers needed for cleaning, yard work, shoveling, repairs, and working on special shelter projects. Also needed are individuals and/or groups to help organize donations.
Community Education
Support our Prevention Education Program by assisting with presentations in Brown County schools and community organizations.
Children's Program
Volunteers are needed to spend time with children. Experiences include spending time with children, chaperoning scheduled activities and participating in weekly support groups.
Administrative Office Support
Volunteers are needed to answer phones and perform other office/clerical duties.
Special Events
Help execute the agency's many critical fundraising and community awareness events. Major events include Phone-a-thon, Ride for a Reason, Rock the House, Golden Harvest Ball and miscellaneous October Domestic Violence Awareness events.
